Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Management, administration or other relevant position (other degrees to be considered if sufficient experience can be demonstrated by candidates)
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist the Project Leader and project team with a number of priority tasks on a regular basis, including procurement processes, activity budgeting, workplan implementation
∎ Maintain and liaise with the Project Manager inform on project actual burn-rates for various ongoing projects.
∎ Assist the Project Leader in updating records in and TeamWork and managing research and field team progress on work plans
∎ Assist in drafting contracts, MoU, subgrants, partner communication documents and other project related documents as required by the project leader
∎ Notify project teams of reporting responsibilities in advance of deadlines and assure communication for timely delivery
∎ Contribute to field work (survey set-up, implementation, official visits), etc. as required
∎ Contributions to report organization and writing as and when necessary
∎ Assist Project Leader in organizing and liaison for various field visit for donors, partners and visiting scientists
∎ Organize and respond to external invitations and Emails as delegated the Project Leader
∎ Keep records of official correspondence and meetings with strict confidentiality
∎ Maintain records of incoming & outgoing courier, faxes, etc., oversee photocopying, collating, binding reports, data, etc.
∎ Anticipate and maintain day to day schedules & appointments and ensure all appointments and meetings for project leaders and the Project Leader are kept and well advised in advance.
∎ All other reasonable duties as directed by the project leader
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum two years of documented professional experience (internships or study periods may be taken into consideration upon recipient of a proper certification on successfully completion of internship relevant to the position)
∎ Prior experience working in internationally funded agricultural or environmental development projects is desirable
∎ Experience in administering logistics associated with applied research projects and programs
∎ Demonstrated organizational, liaison and interpersonal skills
∎ Demonstrated high level of computer skills in MS Office suite (outlook, excel (essential), access, power point), Team Work or similar project management software etc.
∎ Physical fitness and ability /willingness to engage in demanding travel and field work in rural contexts
